Continuing Education Requirements

Many banks and lending institutions are glad to lend money for education simply because its an extremely safe investment. Consider the position of a bank who’s thinking of lending money to a person for continuing education. That person might be making, say, $40,000 now, but the education will let them make $60,000. Now suppose that the education will cost them $10,000 (a few courses). Does it seem logical for the bank to decline this loan? Certainly not. The individual may make enough money to pay back the loan within one year of working. As such, it would make very little sense for a bank to decline this loan. While your situation will certainly be different, this illustration should give you a good sense that most banks are glad to provide loans for education, provided that that education leads to something better or gives you a good chance of continuing working at your current job.

All in all, getting a continuing education loan isn’t particularly hard. There are many lending institutions who will be glad to give you the money to improve your status and job level. These loans are considered to be quite safe by the bank and are often approved with reasonably low interest rates, provided that there’s enough evidence given to the bank that this loan will provide a decent return on investment and safe job prospects. So, don’t be afraid to get a loan and get the education you want and need to better do your job and improve your career prospects!

UCLA is arguably one of the most well-respected universities in North America. As such, when most people think of UCLA, they think of the standard bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degrees. What many people don’t realize is that UCLA has a vast array of continuing education programs under its “Extension” brand. In fact, UCLA continuing education not only consists of generic single courses, but also some an impressive selection of certificates that are excellent to put on your resume.

So what makes UCLA special? Perhaps the primary factor is the cost. For as little as $6,000 you can get a certificate in fields such as computers and technology, real estate, business, and many more. A second good reason to choose UCLA continuing education is the flexibility. Most certificate programs require under 15 courses to be taken within three years of enrolling. This means that you can take one or two courses per quarter to fit in with your current job. That way, you don’t have to apply for financial aid or take on any loans that may impede your studies. In addition, the courses offered are highly tailored to your certificate – so if you want to get a certificate in real estate, you’ll never have to take an English course, like you would at university. It’s also worth noting that a certificate and a bachelor’s degree is an excellent combination for anyone to have. All too often, universities churn out graduates who have very little real-world experience. They go through, get their degrees, and then apply for a job in their field, only for the employer to realize that they have no concept of the practical side of the job. Attending UCLA continuing education will show prospective employers that you have a firm understanding of the practical side and may be a good substitute for real-world experience. For example, programmers who have just graduated with a B.Sc. may find that the practical Java, SQL, iPhone, etc. programming courses that are offered at UCLA are excellent preparation for a software development career path.

All in all, getting a certificate or even just taking courses at UCLA is definitely worth the time and money. Not only is it comparatively cheap, but it’s an excellent way to bolster your resume!

Therefore, if you’re trying to use these courses to fulfill state licensing requirements, you may have some difficulty getting them to be accepted.

All in all, finding continuing education courses isn’t particularly hard if you know where to look. Not only will these course benefit you in your job, but they are often necessary to renew your license in the state. We strongly advise that you look to some professional organizations for available courses first and then, should you need extra courses, look at other sites being certain to only select accredited courses.
